Extension of the deadline for compliance with contribution obligations

Extension and extraordinary suspension of deadlines in August | With the entry into force of the State Budget for the year 2022, the following deadlines for the fulfillment of contribution obligations have been extended:

• deadline for the submission of remuneration statementswhich ended on August 10, is extended, without any increases or penalties, until August 25;
• The deadline for the payment of contributions, which ended on August 20, and the regularization of debt to social security, is extended until August 31, without any increases or penalties;
• This deadline extension is also extended to obligations of a similar nature arising from Law No. 70/2013 of August 30, which regulates the Labor Compensation Fund and the Labor Compensation Guarantee Fund;
• deadlines which expire during the month of August and which refer to acts carried out in administrative infraction proceedings, the exercise of the right to a hearing or defense in any proceedings, the exercise of the right to a reduction in fines, waiver of fines, or clarifications requested by social security institutions or the ACT are also extended to the 1st day of September.

This extension is exceptional and applies only to the month of August.
