This gratuity will accompany the child during the years he or she attends the day care center.

As of January 2023, private sector daycare centers may be included, to ensure network coverage, in addition to the social sector network.

All children in the 1st and 2nd income brackets of the family contribution, regardless of their age, continue to benefit from this free benefit, including those who attend day-care centers, family day-care centers, and social security nannies.

This is an essential measure to promote equal opportunities. This way families see their monthly disposable income grow and children grow up happier right from the first year of life.

What does gratuitousness cover?

Social Security Happy Day Care - Social Security will assume the total contribution of the families, including the following expenses:

• Activities and services usually provided by day care centers (nutrition, personal hygiene, pedagogical, recreational, and motor skills activities, among others);
• Food;
• Registration process, renewal and insurance;
• Extended hours and weekly extension.

Not included are expenses with optional activities outside the pedagogical project that the institutions intend to develop and in which parents or legal representatives enroll the children, as well as the purchase of uniforms and school uniforms.
