Deadline Extension
The Extraordinary Income Support for Employees (AERT) was extended until the end of February 2022, through Decree-Law 104/2021, of November 27.
The AERT requests were received between February 1st and 10th, and following their analysis, the beneficiaries were notified of the result last February 14th.
Following complaints sent by beneficiaries whose support had been denied because the maximum six and 12 month concession period had elapsed, Social Security analyzed the situation and found that these beneficiaries, with the extension, can now have up to two months added to the maximum concession period, as long as the remaining access conditions are met.
The files of these beneficiaries are being reassessed and Social Security will notify them directly.
